What is companionship care?
Our companionship care service provides you or your loved one with the reassurance that someone is there should you ever need them. It can give you the confidence to go out and about or provide some company and conversation whilst assisting with household chores.
Our companionship care service also helps to provide much needed peace of mind for family members who may not be able to be with you as much as they would like due to work and other commitments. It can be distressing for family members who live far away to think of their loved ones at home alone, with nobody to help you around the house or to take you to the supermarket.
Loneliness has been associated with a number of health problems and illnesses, and can have a very detrimental effect on health and wellbeing. Having a home carer can be the friendly face you need to combat loneliness, and having a helping hand has many advantages.
Elderly companionship services
Research has proven that over three quarters of elderly people in the UK feel lonely. Many elderly people are missing out on essential social interactions which is damaging especially to mental health and is linked to depression. With our elderly companionship services, our carers can make a huge difference to someone’s life and make life worth living with a friendly face popping in once a day, several times a week or even be there 24/7 as their private live-in companion.
Companionship care is about spending time with you or a loved one, read their favourite book, play games and accompany them out and about. As your companion, they can assist with light housework, prepare meals, go food shopping or just be there to ensure all is well. With our companionship care service we ensure we match you with someone with a similar personality and interests especially if you are looking for someone to be there as a live in companion.
Companionship care services for young adults
Our companionship care service for young adults allow you or a loved one to live life their way so they can continue living independently in their own home. Everyone is different which is why we’ll talk to you about the type of companion you’d like, how you like spending your time and how often you’d like support, whether that it is at home, work or even in your halls of residence.
