Suffolk home care FAQs

Who supervises my care?
All our clients have their own local Care Manager. It’s their job to supervise your carer, conduct spot checks and make sure you’re receiving the best care we can give.

How long will my carer stay with me?
On average, a carer will live in your home for three to six weeks and then take a break. This break usually lasts for one or two weeks. While they’re away, we’ll send another carer from our Suffolk branch. This means you always get the support you need.

What happens if my carer gets sick?
As a Suffolk in-home care client, you’ll get a replacement carer – guaranteed. This replacement carer (or carers) will work with you until your usual carer recovers.

Are there any jobs that carers aren’t allowed to do?
Carers can help with light housekeeping and routine medical tasks like administering medication. They’re not allowed to do DIY or home improvements, give injections or change dressings on open wounds.
