What to expect from your recruitment and training
Thinking about applying to become a visiting carer for Novus Care or already applied? You may be on the start of a brilliant journey! If you’d like to find out more about our recruitment and training process, then read on.
Once we have received your application, we’ll arrange an informal call with you to find out more about you and where you would like to see your career doing. It enables to get to know you a bit better and talk through the demands of the role and answer any questions you might have.
We’ll then arrange a full formal interview to discuss your experience and reasons for applying and to see if we feel you fit in with our values and approach to home care.
If you are successful, we’ll then carry out our pre-recruitment checks. Due to the nature of the role we will require to run an enhanced criminal record check and work references for the last 10 years.
Once your references and checks have been cleared, we’ll invite you for an induction and to carry out training courses important for your new role. There is also additional training relevant to your clients conditions or if you want to specialise in a particular area.
We’ll also arrange for you to obtain a Care Certificate and give you the opportunity to complete a QCF qualification to aid your personal development.
