At Novus Care, we understand when you’re choosing care for a loved one, trust is fundamental to your decision. You need to trust the quality of care being provided, and the people delivering it. At Novus Care, we have a track record of providing high quality care in the home.
Our carers are caring, compassionate, and dedicated to improving the quality of our clients’ life at home. Our carers truly are our biggest and most brilliant asset, which is why the level of support we offer our carers is second to none. We truly believe in the quality of care we provide and our rigorous recruitment policy ensures that all staff undergo a number of checks before being allowed to carry out home care duties. We check with the police and safeguarding authorities and make sure you are safe. Our recruitment process entails:
- Enhanced DBS checks
- Reference Checks
- Induction training including theoretical and practical training
- Continued checks and observations
The DBS check incorporates a verification of the Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults list provided by the Independent Safeguarding Authority.
A fully regulated service
We directly recruit, train and manage all of our carers, rather than acting as an introductory agency. This means that you do not have to worry about pay, training, police checks, references, or safeguarding clearances. This is also crucial when a carer is unable to work because of an illness for example. As their employer, we can guarantee you’ll never be left without a carer as a replacement is always sent immediately.
To ensure their training is up-to-date and they are providing the highest quality of care they are managed by a team of local managers and mentors who undergo regular appraisals, meetings and spot checks to ensure they are meeting all of your requirements .
Our carers are constantly developing new skills. As well as offering every colleague the job satisfaction they need, we also invest in a whole range of bespoke training courses year after year, making sure all our staff find the personal development they are looking for.
Care Conditions we support
We strongly believe that having a disability shouldn’t affect your quality of life. Our Carers are able to support those living with a variety of healthcare conditions including complex care. We are able to support those living with: Alzheimer’s and Dementia, Stroke, Multiple-Sclerosis, Brain Injuries, Motor Neurone Disease. Whether you or a loved requires minimum support or 24-hour care, we will do all we can to enable an independent and fulfilling lifestyle.
