It’s a notable month for Novus Care. This month we are incredibly proud and excited to be celebrating our 10th anniversary “Never could I have imagined in 2012 what we would achieve and just how much we have grown” said our co-owner and founder Trina Kapur. Growing as a team, as well as in reputation is truly inspiring, especially when considering that over 90% of businesses fail within the first ten years.
Novus Care sprang to life in a little tiny office in Watford and our very first client started with a once a week shopping call which developed into round the clock care for the couple until their needs progressed and they eventually passed away. As the demand, for Novus Cares’ professional home care service grew, so they did their workforce. Having acquired 3 companies and grown to 5 office locations, Novus Care now employs over 200 people and provides home care services to over 320 clients across England.
As a company we’ve faced many challenges in our ten year journey, experiencing many highs and lows. While it has undoubtedly been hard work, we are incredibly grateful for the encouragement and recognition that we have received from our clients and the care industry. We’re really proud of all the lives that we’ve managed and the clients and families that we’ve been able to support through some extremely challenging situations.
Ultimately, the success of the first 10 years has been down to the excellent support delivered by our frontline team, they truly are the heart of the business, who go above and beyond on a daily basis to keep their clients safe. We can’t begin to thank them enough for the fantastic job that they do every single day.

We want to thank everyone who has, at various stages in Novus Care’s history, played an important role in helping us grow. If you’re not in this list it doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten you. Thank you to everyone who has helped us get where we are today especially the following members of staff;
Lisa Topping – our longest serving employee who started with us in Aug 2012 as a Carer. She now works as a Field Care Supervisor in Watford and is an integral part of the Watford team.
Amy Cubria – was the first Care Coordinator we employed back in 2012. She has flourished in her care career with us, completing her Level 5, managing an office in Surrey, the live in business and is now our Registered Manager for the Watford branch.
Emma Moyes – walked in to our tiny little office in Canvey High St and literally was never allowed to walk back out! She’s been instrumental in developing the company structure and has progressed from Manager, to Operations Manager, to Head of Operations in the past 6 years with us.
Antonia Petrou – our Finance Administrator – joined as result of an acquisition in 2014 but has played an integral part in steering the company’s finance function and streamlining processes internally. She remains a key point of contact and support for all employees in the company and there’s not much she doesn’t know about us!
Amy Beake – joined as a Carer in 2016 and quickly progressed to Care Coordinator and was instrumental in setting up the Godalming office. She remains a trusted member of the Cranleigh team.
Annie Ife – Annie joined us as part of an acquisition in 2016. Annie has held virtually every role we have at some point in time and currently heads up the recruitment team. Annie is a loyal and valued member of the team whose infectious laugh lights up any office she’s in.
Rebecca Burrows – joined as the Watford Manager in 2014 but literally spent more time in Surrey than in Watford helping us with our first acquisition. Rebecca has been a loyal and trusted member of the team who has been through thick and thin with us and shared all our highs and lows.
So what does the future hold? Novus Care’s vision for the future is to be the leading home care provider in every town and village across England, delivering high quality care with a happy, motivated workforce.
10 years down the line, Novus Care is still very much run with family values at its heart. For Trina, Hiran, Carers, office staff and the many clients who have been with the company since its earlier years, 17th April was a truly special day that marked 10 years of providing outstanding care in the home.
