Novus Care was proud to host a time for a cuppa event at Holywell Community Centre Watford on Fri 8th March. Service Users, their families and carers were all invited along to enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake in support of Dementia UK.
Every year Dementia UK encourages people to host it’s “Time for a Cuppa” event in order to raise money for it’s crucial work and raising awareness of a condition which now affects over 750,000 people in the UK. As well as being a fundraising event, it also provides an opportunity for people impacted by dementia (including carers, family & friends) to have something to look forward to after the festive season has been and gone.
The event ran from 9:30 to 12:30 and, as well as an abundance of cake, we had a raffle and were pleased to raise £107 in support for Dementia UK.
Registered manager Kelly Kerner says “We are extremely happy to have hosted our first Time for a Cuppa event and look forward to continuing to host them for many years to come”.
Care coordinator Amy Cubria says “It was so nice to see our service users enjoying themselves with big smiles on their faces and making new acquaintances”.
