Trina Kapur – Director
I started my career in finance over 15 years ago and, after taking a break to have a family, I decided I wanted to do something that provided me with more fulfilment and gave me the opportunity to give something back. After experiencing the loss of a close family member and seeing first hand the difference it can make to quality of life to be able to remain at home I decided to set up Novus Care and I have not looked back since!
I wanted to create an agency that made a real difference to people’s lives and provided an opportunity for people to stay within the comfort of their own homes for as long as they desired.
We are very focused on recruitment and strive to ensure that everyone that works for Novus Care shares the same passion to deliver high quality home care that focuses on the needs of each individual.
We are very lucky to have extremely dedicated teams in each office and it provides me with great personal satisfaction to hear feedback from clients about how much they appreciate our care workers and office staff.
I have over 29 years of care experience, starting my career originally as a care assistant in a Hospice in Ireland and over the years have gained promotion through hard work, training and learning from colleagues and other managers. I have worked in a managerial capacity in both residential and domiciliary care settings.
I achieved my Registered Managers Award in 2004 and my Level 4 in Care in 2005. This has enabled me to provide support and guidance to both my care staff and office staff. I am a big believer in good, open and honest communication and believe that we can and should all learn from each other.
Having worked my way up within in Novus Care, from Registered Manager to Operations Manager I am in a great position to provide a strong support network to all Registered Managers within the team. I oversee all the offices to ensure they are providing a good quality service to ensure all our service users, across the company are treated in a way that I would want my own family members to be treated – with dignity and respect. Through training, supervisions, spot checks and appraisals we are able to ensure that all our staff work towards achieving the same high standards that we expect from them.
I enjoy having open communication with everyone I work with, and I have a good relationship with everyone based on mutual trust, honesty and transparency.
Due to recent changes in our management structure, I am currently overseeing the running of our Cranleigh office and our Reading office whilst suitable Registered Managers are recruited.
Amy Cubria – Registered Manager – Watford
I started as a Care Worker in Social Care over 7 years ago. I joined Novus Care in November 2012 and due to my passion for care and also my 5 years as a retail manager, my Director saw potential in me so I worked my way up from Care Worker to Registered Manager. I have since completed my level 5 in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care and am looking forward to my next challenge.
As the Registered Manager at Novus Care I manage the day to day operational side of the service we provide in Watford and the surrounding areas and take responsibility for meeting all of our regulatory requirements with CQC.
As part of my role I manage the office staff, I interview and carry out mandatory training sessions with care workers to ensure that the company standards are maintained. I also liaise with other care managers, social services and NHS trusts to ensure our service users changing requirements are being managed in an appropriate manner .
I hope that through me my staff are inspired to deliver the very best level of service at all times. I am keen to support and mentor each member of staff and to ensure that they understand the importance of the Novus Care ethos.
Debra Goodman – Registered Manager – Godalming
I started my care career as a care worker and found that I had a real love for this work – supporting and helping people gave me a great sense of achievement. I have now been in the Care Industry for just over 9 years and have completed my qualifications such as CQF Level 2 & 3 and Level 5 in Management. I have also achieved my Train the Trainer qualification in Medication and a number of other care related courses.
I am passionate about care and believe that every person should be treated, helped and supported with respect and dignity. My staff are incredible and are all trained within the guidance provided to us by CQC. I ensure that they have spot checks, regular meetings, appraisals and supervisions. My door is always open to them and Service Users if they have a problem.
Novus Care is a family business and since I have been here I feel that myself, my Service Users and my all staff are all part of that family.
Emma Dymock– Registered Manager – Canvey Island
I started my career in care six years ago as a carer and have worked in many different positions including senior care worker, supervisor and coordinator. I have also managed Community care, as well as residential care. I have completed my Level 5 Leadership and management in health and social care. Before I worked in care I was managing director for three companies.
While working as a registered manager for Novus Care, I manage the day to day running of the business ensuring that the care delivered is to a high standard and that we meet all CQC regulations .
I manage the office team ensuring that my high expectations of home care is cascaded down through the company. I ensure that all staff are supported and well trained to deliver a high standard of care.egistered
Paula Dearden – Registered Manager – Woking
I started my career in Social Care 7 years ago as a carer where I quickly progressed to Senior Carer, and then onto Care Supervisor. In the following year I achieved all my training qualifications, and became a Training Manager which then enabled me to progress to Registered Manager of the Woking Branch of Novus Care.
Having achieved my Registered Managers Award and NVQ level 5, I can now offer support to my care staff and office staff. I encourage open and honest communication, with all my staff. We always strive to provide the best care there is to all our Service Users, with the dignity and respect that they deserve.
As the Registered Manager at Novus Care I manage the day to day running of the service we provide in Woking and Guildford and take responsibility for meeting all of our regulatory requirements with CQC.
I am open, honest and transparent with all my Service Users, to ensure that myself and my staff have an excellent working relationship with them.
Jenny North – Care Manager – Cranleigh
I have been in care now for 37years. In 1981 I joined West Sussex County Council as a night care assistant in Residential Care. From then, I completed several training programmes in care and management and moved into Residential Care management.
In 1993 I took the step to move across into Domiciliary Care where I developed a specialised service for people with Dementia and worked alongside the Community Mental Health Team. I later went on to manage a service for people with Learning Difficulties which supported our clients to learn to live as independently as possible.
In 2011 I moved into the private sector where I set up a service to children and adults with learning and physical disabilities. In 2013, I was given the opportunity to set up a new domiciliary care company offering care and support from birth upwards, including children in transition and older people with Dementia.
I joined Novus Care in August 2018 to be the Registered Manager of the Cranleigh office. I am keen to use my experiences and skills to lead the teams well and continue to provide an exceptional standard of care to all our service users.
Julie Napier – Care Manager – Reading
I started working in care 18 years ago and have worked in many different positions including Senior Care Worker, Team Leader, Supported Housing Supervisor and Area Care Manager. I have worked in Residential Care, Nursing Care and Domiciliary Care.
I am passionate about the care and support our service users receive and I believe that every person should be given the chance to live as independently as possible.
I hope that I can bring my years of experience and high standards to inspire my staff to provide the highest standards of care possible.
I like a challenge and I am looking forward to what I can learn from my new role within Novus Care.
